Things I like:

Christmas and everything about it
Ballet
Tchaikovsky
Cheap Tickets
Pretty costumes

NYCB is putting on the Nutcracker for the next month and student tickets are $12. I think this is pretty much ideal. Plus I've been meaning to go uptown.

Just a note: Everything I've written recently made perfect sense to me when it was written.

So I've never really been much of a Rodgers and Hammerstein person (I know, I should be banned from musical theatre) but today I realized that I love Cinderella. When I was a kid I didn't have the disney version, we had the R&H movie. So that kind of represents my childhood.

You can put that into a binary to ascii converter. Or not.

Liquiteria is the best.

So I was thinking. And pretty much every favorite place of mine here in NYC is along broadway. It's totally true. I walk to work along broadway. Even once I'm in soho, I like to stay on it. I love union square and herald square and times square (minus tourists) and astor place and the UWS (the part of it that I see on the way to steps) and columbus circle and lincoln center. So I think that's pretty much my street. And I took one of those quizilla things about which subway line you are (a while ago) and I came out as the NQRW. Very appropriate that it's of course the line that runs up and down broadway (up to 42nd st, at which point the 1 takes over).

I would be insane without my job and all the friends I'm making there.

I bought a coat. and I found a pair of 7 jeans for $40. It was hard to get them in non-anorexic sizes, but after some searching, I was successful.

I did not know that rice needs to be cooked prior to me eating it. My family is laughing at me now.

I've decided that I should buy a coat.

A customer asked me to check the lost and found.

His item was not there.

I told his this.

He said "That's ok, I left it at the 5th ave store, so I'll check there next."

The 5th ave apple store is 60 blocks away.

Logic, anyone?

Oh and apparently my new nickname at work is LLCoolJ

So, the average person would not care that I can convert between ascii and binary. And I figured none of my apple colleagues would care because they'd already know how to do it. This is not the case. Apparently I'm the only person at my store who knows how to do that. And it's a common software development skill. Like out of 300 people, geniuses and all, no one else knows. And one guy didn't believe me, so I wrote his name and he put it into an online decoder and flipped out. So now word it getting around and people are starting to think I'm not such a computer retard. A manager asked me if I wanted to be a genius - seriously. And I said that I'm kind of a one trick pony in that regard and I can only do it so well because it's mathematically based and I'm good at base conversion (it's simple in theory). Anyway, all day I've been getting requests to write people's names in Binary, which is ok. Although I wasted a lot of business cards.

If you want your name converted to binary, let me know and I'll for it for you. Or you could just google it and look for an ascii to binary converter that will do it in 2 seconds. But this is so much cooler.

Stephen Colbert just came to the apple store Soho. And he came in the side door (where only employees had access) and needed to pee. And guess which employee happened to be in that hallway as he needed to be escorted to the bathroom. Yup, it was me. It was awesome. He was hilarious. His book is hilarious, so buy it.

Seriously

today was a horrible day, so I decided I needed to be drunk.

Noah took me out for 3 beers, then I went out with amanda and had a sex on the beach, a shot of a lemon thing, and a long island iced tea.

I was pretty shitfaced.

Then I went to the apple store 5th ave and talked withthe specialists for a while. It was cool - they even gave me a tour of the back of house. and we exchanged phone numbers.

I'm too drunk to still write, but I'm not wasted anymore.

Tap tomorrow is going to suck.

The guacamole was awesome.

I do not enjoy when mosquitoes assault me.  (I think it's mosquitoes, I hope it's not bedbugs.  The thing is, it's only at night since the bites are all over my legs and I normally wear pants.

I also do not enjoy when my iPod dies.  I loved it so.  And I really don't have money for a new one.  I suppose it is my fault, since I pretty much dropped it all the time.  And the kicker is, I always encourage people to buy applecare with their products.  My parents didn't get applecare with my ipod (it was a christmas gift) and right now my ipod is between 1 and 2 years old.

I made a genius bar appointment to see if it has any hope at all.

And the word of today is:

Hot.

OMG.  It's so fucking hot right now.  I grabbed my purse and thought I'd run outside for a few minutes to grab lunch while my ipod was updating.  But silly me, I locked my keys inside the apartment.  So I went shopping.  In jeans.  I was so close to ripping them off in the middle of Soho.  You have no idea.  Then I waited in like for 30 min for pinkberry, which was tasty.  I was afraid to bring it outside, though, because I thought it might just vaporize in this heat.  and Finally my roommate came back and let me in and I threw off all my clothes.  I think I'm going to take another shower and head off to herald square - this time not in long pants.
